Why We Built This Site
North Carolina provides several routes to public criminal-record information, but those routes do not lead to one complete Wilson County file. The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office holds records created by its deputies and the detention operation. The Clerk of Superior Court keeps filed charges, hearings, judgments, and dispositions. Statewide fingerprint history belongs to the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, while correctional history and registry information remain in their own systems. This site gathers the verified contact details, fees, hours, search tools, and request steps that help distinguish those sources.
What You Will Find Here
- Official routes: where to reach the Wilson County Sheriff, the courthouse clerk, and North Carolina record systems
- Record guides: how criminal court case records are found and read in Wilson County
- Self-review options: how a certified county name search differs from an SBI fingerprint-based Right to Review
- Record-clearing information: where North Carolina expunction forms are found and where a Wilson County petition is filed
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site, not part of Wilson County government or the State of North Carolina. It has no affiliation with the sheriff, police, courts, SBI, or any other public agency. Those limits matter:
- We cannot issue a certified court file, SBI history, police report, or booking record
- We cannot submit an expunction petition, public-record request, or other filing for a reader
- We cannot perform an official background check for any person
- We cannot offer legal advice about a charge, warrant, conviction, or case
- We cannot promise that an agency’s fees, hours, addresses, or procedures have not changed
An official record must come from its custodian, such as the Wilson County Sheriff, the Clerk of Superior Court, or the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation.
Search Partners
Third-party providers power search boxes on some pages. Each provider controls its own service, pricing, data practices, and results. If a visitor follows one of those tools to a paid service, this site may receive a referral fee that supports free access to the reference material. We do not set partner fees and cannot verify or control the records they return.
